Workshop Description:

In this workshop, participants will explore the wonderful and unique qualities of watercolor, reinforcing techniques that lets the paint do what it does best. You will experiment with allowing the paints to blend on the paper, using underpainting and subsequent glazing/layering to achieve luminous results. The importance of composition and value will be examined and you will learn how to generate rich darks. The process will be broken down into manageable steps. A photographic reference will be used and sent out ahead of time along with a supply list. Some watercolor experience is suggested
