In this workshop, we will explore the wonderful and unique qualities of watercolor, reinforcing techniques that lets the paints do what they do best. We will experiment with allowing the paints to blend on the paper. We will use underpainting and subsequent glazing/layering to achieve luminous results. We will also examine the importance of value and learn how to generate rich darks that create a sense of light and make your paintings pop. In addition, we will examine Issues including composition and breaking down the painting process into manageable steps. A photographic reference will be used and sent out ahead of time along with a supply list. Some watercolor experience is suggested.
