I will be teaching a two day watercolor workshop at Arts Wayland on March 29th and 30th from 10 am to 3pm each day. The cost is $225.

Description:

In this workshop, we will explore the wonderful and unique qualities of watercolor, reinforcing techniques that lets the paint do what it does best. We will experiment with allowing paints to blend on the paper. We will use underpainting and subsequent glazing/layering to achieve luminous results. We will also examine the importance of value and learn how to generate rich darks that make a painting pop. In addition, we will examine Issues including composition and breaking down the process into manageable steps. A photographic reference will be used and sent out ahead of time along with a supply list.

Some watercolor experience is suggested.
